with our love of dogs. We both grew up with dogs and when we married, we immediately added Stoli, a Chow-Chow, to our little family. Raising our daughters, we always had a house full of animals including dogs, cats, bunnies, horses, frogs, mice and the occasional hermit crab. We felt that having pets taught responsibility and compassion. All our pets became an important part of the family.
Stoli was almost impossible to keep safe at home which led us to our first business as an Invisible Fence® Brand dealer. We were involved with the Invisible Fence® Brand for over 25 years, first as a dealer and later as a distributor. Because of our passion for animals, we looked for another business opportunity in the pet industry. We wanted to draw from our experiences
and give others an opportunity to become successful business owners – just as we had been given an opportunity so many years ago.
Once again our love of dogs prompted us to look for an alternative to kenneling. We could never bring ourselves to kennel our small dog Chloe, and it would take our large dog, Charlie, weeks to return to normal after staying at a kennel. We would argue about who would take Charlie to the kennel. Sometimes it was just easier to stay home.
Fortunately our friends living abroad happened to mention an alternative to kenneling they discovered in England. We began researching this innovative idea and found Barking Mad, Home from Home Pet Care to offer the most professional services, having been in business for 10 years. Using Barking Mad as our model, FlipFlop® now provides safe, loving home-environment vacations for dogs in the U.S.
We love what we do! (Seeing a dog happily race to our Transit to go on another FlipFlop® Dogs vacation is our favorite part!)
